Collaborative Doctoral Award- London South Bank University and the Ben Uri Research Unit

My PhD, the result of a collaboration between the Centre for the Study of the Networked Image, London South Bank University and Ben Uri Gallery, involved the detailed study of the twentieth century collections held by both participating institutions and resulted in a new and interdisciplinary methodological approach to the study of artists, collecting institutions and collections.

Post-doctoral Research Assistant

I conducted archival work in the Tate Archives, Tate Britain, London as part of a short term research project with ANU, Canberra, Australia.

Project Manager and Curator

Between 2023 and 2025 I worked with contemporary Czech-born artist Tereza Bušková on a new socially engaged, multidisciplinary community art project entitled Mothers without Hands established to raise awareness of violence against women and girls. The project was funded by Arts Council England, Aaina Hub, Folkestone Women's Forum/Take Up Space Festival, Prague Airport, Radost Suchdol, Suchdol Council, Walsall Council (Domestic Abuse and Integration Departments) and Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies among others and supported by Creative Black Country. I am currently working with the artist on the curation of two exhibitions of her work and on a new folk-inspired community art project planned to take place in 2027.

I am also engaged in projects with The Gustav Metzger Foundation and the Paul Neagu Estate.

Researcher

I am currently working with DOR-Romanian Diaspora CIC conducting research and contributing to Cartea de Vineri/Friday Book Club,  a programme of weekly posts and monthly live interviews with authors which is now in its fifth year.
